Yemen’s Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, praised the resilience and steadfastness of the Yemeni army in confronting the Houthis, affirming that the military remains committed to repelling terrorist attacks across various battlefronts.
His remarks came during a Ramadan gathering organized by the Ministry of Defense in the interim capital, Aden, marking the anniversary of Aden’s liberation and the tenth anniversary of Operation Decisive Storm, led by the Saudi-led coalition.
General Al-Daari emphasized that all military units are fully prepared to continue the battle to restore the state and bring security and stability to all of Yemen.
Despite the country’s economic hardships due to Houthi attacks on vital infrastructure, the armed forces remain determined to achieve victory, he added.
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef Al-Bakri, who previously served as the head of the Popular Resistance Council in Aden, underscored the importance of restoring Aden’s status as a city of peace. He stressed that the battle would only be complete with the full restoration of state institutions and the end of the coup.
In his speech, Al-Bakri stated, “The night of the 27th of Ramadan was the night that shaped Aden’s destiny and marked a turning point, as the city, through the sacrifices of its leaders and the perseverance of its people, carved out a legendary victory for both the present and history.”
He added, “Aden’s victory was a defining moment for Yemen as a whole, heralding the dawn of a new era, with this city bearing the nation’s cause on its shoulders and leading the effort to restore the state.”
